This policy explains what information Farm Supply System collects when you create a customer account on this website, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It applies to farmsupplysystem.com.

Information we collect

When you create an account with a username and password, we ask for:

  • Username — so you can sign in and we can identify your account.
  • Email address — used to sign in, to confirm your account, and to send you a code if you forget your password.
  • Phone number — used to contact you about your orders, and to send a password reset code.
  • Password — stored only in an encrypted (hashed) form. We cannot read your password, and neither can our staff.
  • Full name — optional, used to address you properly.
If you sign in with Google

If you choose "Sign in with Google", we ask Google only for the basic sign-in permissions (openid, email and profile). Google then tells us exactly three things:

  • your name, used to address you on your account;
  • your email address, used to identify your account and contact you;
  • a unique Google account identifier, stored so we recognise you next time you sign in.

That is the complete list of what we receive from Google. We never receive your Google password, and we cannot read your Gmail, Drive files, contacts, calendar, photos, or anything else in your Google account.

Information received from Google is used only to create and run your account on this website. We do not transfer it to anyone else, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not use it to build any profile of you. It is stored in our own customer database alongside accounts created with a password.

You can disconnect this site from your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. If you would also like the account and its details deleted from our side, contact us using the address at the bottom of this page.

Shop records

If you buy from us, we keep normal business records of those transactions — what was purchased, the amounts, dates, and any outstanding balance. We are required to keep these for our own accounting.

How we use your information
  • To let you sign in to your account.
  • To confirm your email address is real and belongs to you.
  • To let you reset your password if you forget it.
  • To contact you about orders, deliveries, and payments.
  • To keep our own sales and stock records.
What we do not do
  • We do not sell your information to anyone.
  • We do not share it with other companies for advertising.
  • We do not send marketing emails you did not ask for.
Who can see your information

Only staff of Farm Supply System who need it to run the shop. Your information is stored on our web hosting provider's servers. We may also disclose information where the law requires us to.

How long we keep it

We keep your account details for as long as your account exists. Transaction records are kept for as long as our accounting obligations require, even after an account is closed.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you what information we hold about you, correct anything that is wrong, or close your account and delete your personal details. Contact us using the address below and we will help. Note that we may need to keep records of completed transactions for accounting purposes even after closing an account.

Security

Passwords are stored encrypted, and the site is served over a secure (HTTPS) connection. No website can promise perfect security, but we take reasonable care to protect your information.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
